Pegasus: Community Intelligence

Manage information and intelligence obtained in confidence from the public and other agencies

Pegasus Community Intelligence helps you manage the risks inherent in handling information received in confidence from members of the public.

Designed with input from leading law enforcement agencies, the system allows you to record the information, assess its provenance and decide how it should be disseminated. You can configure Community Intelligence to meet the access control needs of your agency, and mirror the terminology you use.

Assists in regulatory compliance

Community Intelligence assists with legislative requirements and regulatory compliance, and helps you meet your duty of care to the public. It automatically identifies instances where multiple pieces of information, given by an individual, prompt a review of the risk to the individual or organisation.

Information management

The system can be used to manage information from any origin. This can include information received from other law enforcement agencies, government authorities (such as social workers and teachers) and other bodies.

Additionally, you can use it to manage a wide range of information from the private sector. This could be ‘suspicious activity reports’ supplied in connection with money-laundering, or the purchase of precursor chemicals used in the production of illicit narcotics.

Integration with Pegasus Source Management

Used in conjunction with Pegasus Source Management (informants), records can be automatically transferred when a member of the public reaches the threshold for consideration as a Covert Human Intelligence Source (CHIS).
